User Reviews about The Sims 2 Pets
The Sims 2 pets is not like a apartment pets. It is better then it and instead of a salon your a vet. You can pick your own pet and play with it. The only thing that is timed is the cooking and you have a lot of stores to buy goodies from. It is easier to treat the pet and it is not timed. It is fun for all ages not just kids. I enjoy playing it and yes as with most games it takes time to learn but that is what games are for. -- It rocks and it is awesonme..
My daughter borrowed this game from a friend and she loved it so much that we decided to get one for her.
I am familiar with Sims and this seems to be an easier version and suitable for kids. Well, at least somewhat. My daughter and her friends found great fun in having the character skip bathroom breaks and have an accident, but I guess it could be worse.
I do not have time to play a lot of games these days, but I think I would find this game entertaining as well - for a while. It is all about taking care of the pets, eat, sleep and shower. The game, from what I have seen, does not allow much time to do anything else, which is fine if you are a 6-year old pet loving girl, but I am sure it will disappoint some of the Sims players out there. -- My 6-year old loves this game
When I first got this game for my DS I was really pleased with it. But then after a fiew minutes of playing it... it was really boring. The game is extremely repetitive: wake up, diagnose pets, treat them, go to bed. (occasionaly you have to eat food or take a shower.) Well this is my opinion and I am also a Sims fan so it might be because you can not play with the acctual Sim and interact like on the usual Sims2 games. I would not recomend this to normal Sims players, unless you are REALLY into pets THAT much. -- its OK...
I really like this Sims game. But then, I love caring for animals and making them better when they aren't well, also. True, it can be viewed as repetive by some, I admit that. Also true is that some view repetition as boring. But I get a kick out of the different animals and breeds, and moving up the success ladder as a vet. I make contests with myself over how large a bonus I can rack up and how quickly I can upgrade to a new home, new equipment. For me, this game is great. My daughter also enjoys playing it.
But then, I can't stand regular Sims games with all the whining and childish behavior of the "people". So maybe that's the difference.
The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is because I wish you could add to the yard area of your home. I can't see any point in having a picnic table or garden flower beds inside the house. -- Guess I'm in the minority...
