User Reviews about NDS GoldenEye Rogue Agent
This was for a 12 year old boy who looked all over town for it and couldn't find it so we checked amazon and found it.He was thrilled and couldn't wait to receive it.It arrived earlier then expected and he loves the game. -- nintendo ds game Goldeneye Rogue Agent
This game as the worst camera angle everrrrrr. Your gaming experience will be completely ruined because you can't even turn around to see who's shooting you and you're always going to be looking slanted. Anyway, if the game just had a freaking better angle, it would probably be a fairly decent shooting game. -- Worst angle ever
alot of these reviews say this game is bad, I don't know alot about the game. I just played it with my friend and loved it! I love videogames in first-person, Great weapon choice, good graphics (some say bad graphics, but they are wrong. Don't expect X-Box 360 graphics on a handheld)
This would be the perfect Wi-Fi game, I can't believe their isn't a fist-person shooter for wi-fi!
Over-All I say it is awesome! -- Really Fun!
This game is...it's not bad. I had fun playing it. It has some nice features, such as bots in multiplayer and a pretty good choice of weapons. Here's a simple pro-con, instead of me just going on and on.
Pro:
It is fun-I had an enjoyable time throughout most of the game. I just wish i could go back and play previous levels (more on that below).
Levels are well designed-The levels are detailed and pretty well though out with enough variety to not feel boring.
Graphics are good-The team that worked on this did a pretty outstanding job with the graphics-it really does look good.
Dual Wielding is hot-Dual wielding is fun, using two weapons at a time is always cool (and the combos you can make are interesting)!
Multiplayer is cool-Maybe not the best, but it gets the job done. No online though :( (Metroid Prime: Hunters is on wifi).
Con:
Not enough checkpoints
No saves-not only are there not a lot of checkpoints, there's no saving in the middle of a level-no either finish it, or start over if you turn your DS off. It's a pain.
No going back-If you're like me and you like to be able to play levels over... well, be prepared to play the game over! That's right, once you finish a level, there is no level selection screen. This sucks!
Bots are stupid-They just run around and then stand in one spot to get shot. Barely adequate!
Controls are a bit unconfortable-Trying to use the buttons and hit both shoulder buttons or use the other stylus mode is a bit wonky, but somewhat useable.
Last level is ridiculous-everyone has this one-hit kill gun (OMEN) and yes, the projectiles do move pretty slowly, but trying to dodge like a bagillion with only like 3 checkpoints on the whole level is INSANE!!!
All in all, I did have a fun time playing this title. But it does have some serious drawbacks. It really was sort of a letdown because it's one of the only FPSes on the DS.
I would recommend Metroid Prime: Hunters instead, it's a much more polished game. Sadly, with just a little more polish and a little more time, this game could've been awesome!
Bottom Line: Wait until this game gets cheap if you really want to buy it-it really isn't a polished title and wouldn't be worth more than a budget-title price. Metroid Prime: Hunters is probably a better bet, if you're looking for a good handheld FPS. 6.5-7.0/10 -- Okay-but needs LOTS of improvement
