The case has protected the DSi from many a fall. Thing works great. The pieces that protrude from the hinges fell off after six months. Not a deal breaker. I would still recommend this, especially if your kid likes to drop really expensive stuff, mine does. -- Great case, pieces fall off eventually.

My daughter is 10 and has a Dsi. I bought this cover after reading other reviews on it. She has dropped it a few times without damage to her system. I highly recommend this to anyone searching for a heavy-duty case. All of her chargers plug in without problems, it is comfortable for her to carry. -- This is a must!!

I bought 3 of these for DSi's we received as Christmas gifts last year. They have done a wonderful job at protecting my 2 oldest boys' DSi's. My boys have dropped their DSi's several times. With the armor on, not a single crack, chip, or scratch. They still work like they did 6 months ago brand new. I have one on my DSi as well for the comfort it offers. Playing a DSi for more then 15 minutes leaves my hands hurting. With this Nerf armor, no more hand pain. The DSi Nerf Armor attaches firmly to the DSi. You don't have to remove the armor to play. I see the details in the product description are now updated, but in case you don't see it or aren't sure, The DSI and DSLite cases are not interchangeable. I bought this one assuming they were the same since the main description originally just said "DS Nerf Armor" and that it was compatible with the DSI (has the opening for the camera). The description has since been updated but still may confuse some who may assume the consoles are the same size. The DSI is actually slightly bigger.

I have bought many of these cases for my Kids DS games and they are the best. My littlest one has dropped his game on Concrete or Tile floors more times than I can count and the case has protected it everytime. I would not let them carry the game without one. The only downside is that after much use, the foam tends to start pealing away in places and the kids just cant resist pulling it off piece by piece over time. More of a kid issue than a product issue. I still keep buying them... -- Beware, does not fit DSLite
