My son's DS would not charge anymore with the wall charger due to a problem within the DS itself.

Pros: This was a great alternative to charge the battery overnight instead of buying a new DS.
Works great and charges relatively fast.
Inexpensive.

Cons: You need to remove the battery from the DS which means that you have to reset the day-time and some basic settings after reinserting it. Takes my son less than 2 minutes.

This Christmas, we got a second DS system for the household - now owning a DSLite and a DSi. Of course, the chargers for these systems are not interchangeable. This charger allows us to bring one charger with us when we're on the go. This charger acts as four for us as we'd need a car charger and a wall charger for each system.
