If you don't have a tv that has component (Red, Blue Green) cables, this is for you. I bought this by reading reviews & it is much better then the RCA yellow composite ones that comes w/the Wii.
The Nintendo channel videos are MUCH better by a long shot & I also switched the cables back/forth during a paused Nintendo video of a DS game trailer, I could read the words on that game a bit better.
Edit: 10.2009 - still no problems. -- Better clarity then the RCA default cable for standard CRT tvs
